Pink Eye Part Duex:
Return of the Pink Eye!

Gotta love this! Lainey has pink eye now! Two weeks after Maverick had it now Lainey has it. Unlike Maverick, Lainey can't hide from the camera and tell me not to take a picture.

What the hell is up with pink eye anyway? Dirty eye! Ewwww! What will people think!? Well I decided we needed to accessorize properly for pink eye...

The GoGurt Experiment!

In an attempt to have my boy eat something new, and perhaps even something that is not a cookie, or coated in chocolate I have decided to try and introduce something new to him each week.

Product: GoGurt

Possible Selling Point: Scooby Doo on the cover, he would not have to touch anything that may make him turn away (he really doesn't like strange feeling food), no utensils needed.
Intro: He was actually into trying something new. This floored me. Usually he doesn’t want anything to do with new things. He usually says “no thank you” as he walks off. This time he listed to my pitch.

The Pitch: Hey Maverick, Scooby Doo eats these, and so does Ichiro.

The Response: Okay, I’ll have some!

Jumpin’ In: So I opened up the Go Gurt and showed him that I liked it, then I put it in his mouth and squeezed on the tube to get some in his mouth. He said he liked it, and I realized I didn’t get any in his mouth. So I made another attempt to get some in there. This attempt did not go so well.

The Beginning Of The End: I started to squeeze the tube to get some in his mouth when he backed away, opened his mouth and yelled “Yuk!” I tried to talk him into trying it again. This did not go so well. While I was talking to him he ran off and yelled “I don’t like GoGurt!” At this point my wife said “I told you so”

Return of the GoGurt?: Maybe he would like it frozen. Kinda like a Popsicle. We’ll see.

Next Week: Not sure. Any suggestions?

knock-A-knock

So my 3 year old really wants to be a comedian I think. Always telling jokes he's heard and jokes he's well... made up. Mostly knock knock jokes right now. He'll say things like

"knock-a-knock?"

Who's there?

"Hamburger"

Hamburger who?

"Hamburger milkshake!! haa hahahaha ahahaa"

You know things that only make sense to a three year old... so we were sitting down for dinner last night when he started his endless cycle of knock knock jokes. All pretty much the same as before, but I noticed he started looking around the table for ideas. That's when he came up with this gem...

"knock-a-knock?"

Who's there?

"Fork"

Fork Who?

"Fork you daddy!"

Needless to say I laughed my ass off....which pleased him... but then I had to tell him not to ever tell the joke again. So we'll see.

Potty Time!

So we went full on hardcore with the potty training. It's really strange to think all of us at one time or another could not crap or piss in a pot. My boy's doing really well with it so far. One day with no accidents and two with just one accident. It's pretty exciting!

Blue Light Special

Funny how things go. My daughter Lainey was born last Thursday and had to go back to the hospital for her jaundice. Everyone keeps telling me it's normal and happens to a lot of kids, hell it even happened to me, but I was at least sent home and was put in a window. Lainey's stuck under some blue lights. I know she should be fine, but it's still scary.

Here's a couple pics of Lainey in full Sci-fi gear. Top one is from the hospital room and the bottom one is Lainey doing home photo therapy.
