In an attempt to have my boy eat something new, and perhaps even something that is not a cookie, or coated in chocolate I have decided to try and introduce something new to him each week.
Product: GoGurt

Possible Selling Point: Scooby Doo on the cover, he would not have to touch anything that may make him turn away (he really doesn't like strange feeling food), no utensils needed.
Intro: He was actually into trying something new. This floored me. Usually he doesn’t want anything to do with new things. He usually says “no thank you” as he walks off. This time he listed to my pitch.
The Pitch: Hey Maverick, Scooby Doo eats these, and so does Ichiro.
The Response: Okay, I’ll have some!
Jumpin’ In: So I opened up the Go Gurt and showed him that I liked it, then I put it in his mouth and squeezed on the tube to get some in his mouth. He said he liked it, and I realized I didn’t get any in his mouth. So I made another attempt to get some in there. This attempt did not go so well.
The Beginning Of The End: I started to squeeze the tube to get some in his mouth when he backed away, opened his mouth and yelled “Yuk!” I tried to talk him into trying it again. This did not go so well. While I was talking to him he ran off and yelled “I don’t like GoGurt!” At this point my wife said “I told you so”
Return of the GoGurt?: Maybe he would like it frozen. Kinda like a Popsicle. We’ll see.
Next Week: Not sure. Any suggestions?
